wedding photography at st. peter's church, ealing + the cavendish, eastcote

Lauren and Simon got married on a beautiful Autumn day in October. There are so many lovely homemade touches that went into this wedding - from the groom making the cake (which he spent many an evening practising!), to the artwork, stationary and table plans made by Lauren's dad.

The day itself started with Lauren and her bridesmaids getting ready at their flat in Ealing, a stones throw away from St. Peter's Church where the ceremony was held. The church is a hidden gem and, UK weather permitting, it's beautiful interior can get illuminated by the sun at certain times of day through the large back window. Although the sun was going in and out all day, it shone right on cue as Lauren walked down the aisle - a really wonderful moment!

We headed to The Cavendish in Eastcote for the reception on an old routemaster bus. After some congratulatory drinks, Lauren and Simon headed outside to make the most of the fading light (and intermittent rain!) to get some portraits against the Autumn colour. The day ended with a twist on the traditional first dance with a ballroom-tap dance combo, which the couple had been carefully planning over the last few months.

Here is a little wedding photo slideshow to music of their day.
