winter wedding photography at foxhills country club, surrey

When Alison & James made the decision to get married in January I don't think even they imagined the snowy scenes that would grace their big day - especially after the rather wet Christmas! Well, sure enough, a few days of heavy snowfall later and we were set for some rather challenging weather conditions - or so I thought. On the contrary, James and Alison (Ali is Australian and probably more used to warm weather!) took it completely in their stride. In fact, their relaxed outlook set a wonderful tone for the whole day and, combined with a wonderful group of family and friends, made it a wedding to remember.

The day started with the bridal preparations at their home in Wimbledon, followed by the ceremony at the local St. Mary's Church, a lovely traditional church which has existed on the site since the 12th Century. Afterwards we headed off to the beautiful Foxhill's Country Club in Surrey, where we were treated to even deeper snow and some stunning scenery. In fact, we got some wonderful portraits of the happy couple in the snow along the driveway leading up to the house. One of my favourite moments from the day, however, has to be watching Alison and her bridesmaids running around in the snow wearing their Union Jack wellies - there really was no stopping them! It was so much fun - thank you guys - and a real pleasure to be part of your special day.

As an extra special treat - be sure to check out the end of the blog post to see James and Alison's wedding film by Matt Cordy from Unique Wedding Productions, who were the official videographers on the day. It was a pleasure working alongside them and we would happily recommend them to our lovely bride and grooms!

year round up: some favourite images from 2012

Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013!
Thank you so much to all of the wonderful people I have met and photographed during 2012 – I am so humbled to have been part of your special day or to be able to capture those beautiful moments. I also want to extend a big thank you to the fantastic people and vendors I have met or worked with during the year and, not least, to all of my friends and family for all of their support. I have so much appreciation for being able to do what I love - and I can't wait to get cracking on 2013! Lots of paths to explore this year, and plenty of new challenges. For now though, here is a collage of some of my personal highlights from 2012.
