wedding photography at monkey island hotel, bray

Emma & James first met whilst at studying at Aberystwyth university - so it is a time that is particularly important to them. So much so that they themed their wedding breakfast around a wonderful illustration of Aberystwyth university and surrounds - including all of the places and activities that were important to them during their time there.

Amongst all of the images on their table planner was a nod to Emma's other love - horses - which also played a part in their special day. Having a particular interest in photographing horses myself, I was looking forward to capturing the moment they arrived and left St. Andrew's Church in Sonning - a beautiful village on the edge of the river Thames - by horse and carriage. {cue me running alongside the horse and carriage for half a mile to get as many pictures as possible! :-)}

The wedding reception - and where Emma got ready - was held at Monkey Island hotel in Bray, a wonderful venue set in lovely gardens and accessed only by footbridge or boat. In the gardens were plenty of games and entertainment, along with a rather beautiful peacock who was more than happy to strut his stuff all afternoon! After the lovely wedding breakfast, speeches, and first dance, Emma and James headed outside to catch a relaxing evening boat ride up the river Thames - a perfect end to the day's coverage.

Congratulations again to them both on their wedding, we wish you all the happiness in your future together. Here are some highlights from the day:
