post-wedding photoshoot at hampstead heath and southbank, london

As a wedding and portrait photographer I am often involved in engagement shoots, weddings, and newborn or family sessions. However, it is so lovely to be contacted by married couples who want a photoshoot. Jessica & Chris contacted at the end of May with the possibility of doing a post-wedding photoshoot in London. Although they had married a couple of years ago, Jessica was keen to get back in her dress for some relaxed and informal portraits in one of their favourite local locations - Hampstead Heath. Despite scheduling a date in July, I still hadn't expected the weather to turn out so perfect - it was a gorgeous British summer afternoon - and there really was no better way to spend it than in one of London's finest parks. Jessica and Chris are a lovely relaxed couple - with a real warmth - and it was such a pleasure getting to know them as we walked, talked, and photographed our way from Hampstead Heath station to the top of Parliament Hill. After Hampstead Heath we headed back to their flat for refreshments and a quick change, then down to London's southbank for some sunset shots over the river Thames alongside some iconic London backdrops - most notably St. Pauls, Tate Modern and Millenium bridge. Here are some favourites from their session.
