Cherry blossom engagement shoot, Greenwich Park, London

When Jacqueline and Andrew booked me for their engagement shoot they only had one backdrop in mind - the Spring cherry blossom! The tricky part was finding a suitable location in London that had enough cherry trees to have the look they had in mind. After checking various online sources they set their sights on Greenwich Park, where a small avenue of about 15 trees would set the scene for the entire session. Fortunately, not only did we have the weather on our side, but I had a great pair of models in Jacqueline and Andrew who are such a lovely couple and were fantastic to work with.

We made the most of the sunshine before it set, and the pair even had chance to change into wedding attire for the last part of the shoot (they are getting married later this year in Singapore where the groom is able to see the dress before the day - result!). It is an interesting challenge to create a whole photoshoot in the same small area - whilst sharing it with lots of tourists and locals enjoying the blossom too (timing is key!). However, I love the final results - and I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did taking them. Here are some favourites from the session:

Pre-wedding photoshoot in Queenswood Country Park, Herefordshire

I recently travelled to the beautiful county of Herefordshire (where I grew up!) to meet and photograph Amy and Tom for their pre-wedding photoshoot at Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum in Herefordshire. I used to frequently take trips to Queenswood with my family as a kid and always love visiting - and this was no exception. With the trees springing into life and the lovely afternoon sunshine it was looking as stunning as ever.

Amy and Tom are such a lovely relaxed couple and I can't wait to photograph their wedding later this summer at their family farm in Powys - it's going to be so much fun! Here's some favourites from their engagement shoot.

childrens portrait photographer berkhamsted, hertfordshire

When it comes to children's portrait photography, I love making the most of the great outdoors by introducing props and styling to your photography session. I find that not only do kids love to have fun with the props and theme of the shoot, but it creates some beautiful lifestyle images of your little ones that are full of fun, imagination, and beautiful candid moments. From April I will be offering a new 'styled' photoshoot package alongside my usual family and children's portrait photography, working together with local stylists and suppliers to create unique and wonderful themed photoshoots. Below is a little preview of a recent 'Easter Parade' themed shoot I did with some gorgeous little people. I hope you love them as much as I do! :) To sign up for notifications about my new styled portrait shoots and to receive an extra special offer click here.

woodland maternity photoshoot {berkhamsted, hertfordshire}

Happy New Year everyone! I would usually start the year with a round up of the previous, but this year I wanted to begin by posting some images from my most important shoot to date – a maternity shoot with my beautiful wife Hannah. 2014 was an incredibly busy year, full of challenges – both personal and professional - and I am incredibly thankful to my family, friends, and the amazing couples, families, and photographers I have met and worked with this past year. As we move into 2015 I am looking forward to an entirely new and exciting challenge with the birth of our baby - one that is already changing the way I see my life and my business. I have some exciting announcements to come this year which I can't wait to share with you, but in the meantime I hope you enjoy this little preview of Hannah's maternity session (and on Hannah's request - the occasional pic with me!).
